The Quiet Room

Getting Ready

Every ride starts the same way: alone, in a room, putting the kit on.

Race morning, friday group ride, solo training. it doesn’t really matter. the ritual repeats.

This project photographs that in-between moment, where the domestic space meets the riding life. coffee next to a helmet. kit laid out on an unmade bed. the door is not yet open.

Each session is shot in the rider’s own environment. The aim is environmental portraiture that shows who they are before anyone is watching, and what the daily rhythm of being on a team actually looks like in private.
